permanent love
If I scribbled our names on the thin rules that line this paper, would you love me?
Fire ignites and wisps it away as if it never was.
If I carved our initials into wood, would it last longer?
Trees bend and break in the swirling wind.
If I chiseled hearts and souls into stone, would it be forever?
I think they'd erode with the storms.
You're forever.

twenty-six
"The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose
all the other ages you've been."
all the other ages you've been."
